A One Term President
In an editorial in U-T San Diego the Editors make it plain and simple: “it’s the economy, stupid” and there is simply no way that President Obama will not be blamed for it in November. He himself has said that if it is not turned around by the end of his term, it will be a one-term proposition. The amusement of it all – or the pity of it all – is that Obama is as mystified as anyone as to why the economy has not turned around. He really has no clue.

Barack Obama will be, as this editorial board predicted a month ago, a one-term president. And, we repeat, in the end it will not even be close.
Why?
Because Obama and the Democrats, who open their national convention in Charlotte, N.C., on Tuesday, thereby launching the final stretch of the 2012 campaign, will be trying to sell a fanciful story of the Obama record that American voters will not buy.
It’s the economy, stupid.
